Come Dine With Me Malta returned for its second week with new contestants, and delivered a very emotional scene as contestant Martin opened up about losing his partner of 48 years just last year.
Martin explained how he met his ‘very English’ partner and came to live in Malta, spending 48 years together before losing him to ALS.
Martin described his partner as absolutely loving Malta, and that they were about to move before COVID-19 hit. His partner was diagnosed with ALS in that time period and unfortunately passed away.
The group of contestants Martin was with offered him support as he opened up, with the programme known to bring together the contestants and forming new friendships and bonds.
