Clocks Go Forward This Month: Longer Days & Summer Vibes Inbound
Local

Malta will soon switch to summer time, bringing brighter evenings and the feeling that summer is finally on the way.

On Sunday 30 March, clocks will move forward one hour, changing from 2:00am to 3:00am. While this means losing one hour of sleep, it also means longer days and more daylight in the evenings.

For many people in Malta, this change is a small sign that winter is ending and summer is slowly approaching.

With the sun setting later, people start spending more time outside after work, whether it’s going for walks by the sea, meeting friends for drinks, or enjoying dinner outdoors.

It’s also the time when beach plans slowly start returning, barbecues become more common, and terraces, rooftops and seaside spots begin to fill up again.

Even though the weather can still be a bit unpredictable in spring, the clock change usually marks the moment when life in Malta starts shifting outdoors again.

So while you might lose an hour of sleep, you gain something much better: longer evenings, more sunshine, and the first real signs that summer isn’t too far away.
