Clever Advertising Expands Operations In Malta With €7.5 Million Investment

The Portuguese digital marketing company Clever Advertising officially inaugurated its new Malta office this morning, marking a total investment of €7.5 million. With fifteen years of experience and operations spanning five continents, the company continues to strengthen its global footprint.

Clever Advertising currently employs more than 350 people worldwide. Its Malta office has already created 30 new jobs, with plans to increase its local workforce to 80 in the near future underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to the country.
The inauguration was attended by Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, Gaming Malta CEO Ivan Filetti, and Malta Gaming Authority CEO Charles Mizzi. Minister Schembri highlighted that the opening reflects the consistent confidence international businesses place in Malta, especially following recent announcements made at the iGaming Council meeting. During that meeting, it was revealed that eight companies will create around 1,300 new high-quality jobs through a collective €60 million investment.
Clever Advertising’s contribution includes €6 million invested in its new premises at the former Wembley factory in Gżira, and an additional €1.5 million investment in local video-game development company NARC.
“The opening of this new office is proof that, as a government, we will continue to support every idea with optimism, fostering more innovation and strengthening our modern digital infrastructure,” Minister Schembri said. He also emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering students through education and training. The minister concluded by congratulating the leadership of Clever Advertising on this milestone for both the company and Malta’s economy.
During the event, the company also announced a new programme funded by Clever Advertising aimed at providing Maltese youths with practical training and hands-on experience in the digital sector. The initiative seeks to help young people flourish and enter the labour market with strong career prospects.
Gaming Malta CEO Ivan Filetti remarked, “Today we are not only celebrating the inauguration of a new office, but also the continued strengthening of Malta’s gaming ecosystem. We are pleased to welcome Clever Advertising, a company whose energy, values, and investment align perfectly with Malta’s Vision 2050 our roadmap for sustainable and resilient growth.”
