Clean Ups Start At White Rocks Ahead Of Park Project

Minister for the Environment Miriam Dalli shared footage of White Rocks being cleaned up ahead of the national park project kicking off its materialisation.

Last year, Prime Minister Robert Abela launched the Shape Your Space project along with Dalli, kicking off consultations for three new national parks in Malta.

An event held at White Rocks was attended by 80 students who gave their ideas as to how to create an open space for them, their families and the public.

The Prime Minister had highlighted how Malta has over 200 open spaces, with the economy allowing the government to return three key sites, including Manoel Island and Fort Campbell, to the public.

Minister Dalli had explained that the public consultation aims to design the parks according to people’s wishes, with children’s needs prioritised.
