Civil Protection Rescue 83 Year Old Man Who Went Missing After Fall

Last night, Civil Protection rescuers from Stations 3, 7, and 8 responded to a search and rescue operation in the area between Mġarr and Ġnejna after reports of a missing person came in.
Working closely with the police force, the rescuers located the missing individual, an 83 year old man, within 90 minutes of receiving the emergency call.
The man had fallen into a field and sustained injuries. He was safely rescued from the field and transferred into the care of a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital’s Emergency Department before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
The CPD thanked the police force and the emergency team for their assistance.
