Civil Protection Malta Given The President's Award For Their Work During Storm Harry

Civil Protection Malta were awarded the prestigious President’s Award during the Public Service Awards Ceremony, to honour their hard work during Storm Harry.

Sharing the news on their social media, CPD thanked all their officers, volunteers, and partner entities “who works together to make a difference.”

They also shared statistics which clearly showcase all the difficult work carried out by CPD during the storm.

Officers helped with 240 tree obstructions, and carried out 119 debris clearance operations, amongst many other rescues.

“This award is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and commitment of every member of the Civil Protection Malta who stood ready to serve during one of the most challenging weather events faced by our islands,” shared the department.
