Civil Protection Battle Gżira Ironmongery Shop Fire

Yesterday, Civil Protection Malta firefighters from Stations 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 11 responded to a fire at an ironmongery shop in Gżira.
The fire reportedly affected both the ground floor retail area and the basement storage facility.
A total of eight fire appliances, one aerial ladder, and one foam tender were deployed to the site. The operation was a particularly delicate one due to the wide variety of materials stored within the premises.
Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control, with no injuries reported.
