Civil Protection Battle & Contain Ħal Għaxaq Industrial Fire

Civil Protection Malta responded to an intense industrial fire in Ħal Għaxaq yesterday evening.
The fire was successfully contained, but firefighting operations continued well after the fact to ensure the hazard was completely eliminated.
The general public was informed to avoid the area due to safety concerns and emergency response activities.
Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment Byron Camilleri showed his support to the CPD officials, as well as the Malta Police Force, LESA, Health, Transport Malta and all those provided the necessary aid to extinguish the fire.
