Chucky Bartolo Speaks Out On Harassment Against Sirena Drag Show Bar

Chucky Bartolo issued a video addressing the harassment and abuse his team at Sirena Drag Showbar & Cafe have been facing since they opened.
Sharing video clips of a man shouting homophobic slurs and saying he hopes ‘they all die’, Chucky said that the harassment has been a constant every single weekend since they opened.
Chucky revealed that steps have been taken to protect the staff and clientele at the bar, but also highlighted how the claims that the bar is keeping everyone awake at night are unfounded.
The bar closes at midnight, Chucky said, with every single drag show ending before 11pm. Chucky shared clips of the bar being closed well before the times the comments are claiming the bar was open.
Police are wasting their time coming down to check, Chucky said, with officers not finding any issue given the soundproofing and the closing time.
‘The homophobia against us, whether its outright via death threats and slurs, or subtle via ‘I-don’t-mind-gay-bars-imma-not-here’, is something we should stand up against’, concluded Chucky, before thanking all those who’ve been supportive since they opened.
