Children’s Allowance To Increase By €250 Per Year In Budget 2026

During tonight’s much-anticipated Budget 2026 speech, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana confirmed that the children’s allowance will be increasing by €250 per year.
This allowance applies to families earning less than €30,000 annually, with these families receiving €250 per child each year.
This measure forms part of a total increase in social benefits of approximately €120 million, which the government has pledged ahead of the 2026 fiscal year.
