‘Childcare In Parliament A Step in The Right Direction’, Says Rosianne Cutajar

Taking to social media, Minister for Equality and Civil Rights Rosianne Cutajar backed the announcement by Speaker Carmelo Abela that Malta’s Parliament may be getting childcare.

‘Childcare in parliament is a step in the right direction’, she said. ‘It’s a practical initiative that helps remove one of the barriers many women face when considering or pursuing a career in politics.

‘If we want more women at the decision-making table, we need policies that support parents and make political participation more accessible’, she said.

‘Measures like this may seem small, but they can make a meaningful difference in building a more inclusive and representative Parliament.’
