Cat Found Riddled With Lead Pellets In South Of Malta

The Malta Ranger Unit shared photos of a cat’s x-rays which show it was riddled with lead pellets.

A report was sent to the unit about a stray cat that suddenly started to limp. When taken to the vet by a member of the public, the x-rays showed the reality of its injuries.

‘The cat's body was riddled by lead pellets in every part of it. Our Rangers are assisting with filing the Police report via proper channels.’

The rangers will be helping to pay for the cat’s surgery, scheduled this coming week.

‘This is all possible thanks to the amazing Fabio Spiteri and the grant given to us from his Project100, sponsored by Borg Cardona Pet Supplies’, they explained.

‘This is NOT the only report of its kind. We ask anyone who encounters such injuries of their cats to get in touch and we can guide you further. This is NOT acceptable.’
