Cars in Labour Decor Hit The Streets of Hamrun

Labour Party supporters have taken to the streets of Hamrun, celebrating with cars decorated in party flags, balloons, and colours. Supporters responded to a call on the Labour Party’s social media pages, heading towards the Labour Headquarters after Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Robert Abela announced a ‘solid’ MEP victory for the PL.

Early indications have shown a lead of about 15,000 votes over the PN, a significant drop from the previous election’s considerable PN-PL gap.

At the same time, significant progress was reported for the Nationalist Party. European Parliament President and Nationalist Party MEP candidate Roberta Metsola likely secured double the required quota, possibly setting a new record in European elections. Nationalist Party Secretary General Michael Piccinino stated that this year’s performance was the party’s best in a European election, with expectations of winning a third seat in the European Parliament.
