Cars From Japan And UK imported to Malta in 2025 As Malta’s Love Affair With Private Cars Continues

In a recent Parliamentary Questions session, Nationalist MP Ivan Bartolo asked Transport Minister Chris Bonett about the number of cars imported from the United Kingdom and Japan.
Minister Bonett revealed that in 2025, 665 used vehicles were imported from the United Kingdom, while imports from Japan surged to 4,639 vehicles.
In total, Malta imported 5,304 cars from these two countries, highlighting the continued popularity of imported private vehicles on the island.
