Busy Weekend For CPD After Intense Weekend Weather

Civil Protection Malta had a busy weekend as members from various fire stations responded to a number of emergencies following recent weather.
Rescuers from Fire Stations 3, 5 and 6 responded to multiple emergency calls in the northern part of Malta & Gozo after heavy rainfall and strong winds caused considerable damage.
Operations included addressing a roof entangled with an electrical pole, assisting individuals trapped in their vehicles, clearing tree obstructions, responding to a collapsed building in Victoria, Gozo and removing a collapsed billboard.
CPD Malta thanked the Malta Police Force, Transport Malta and Enemalta plc for their assistance.
