In a video shared by Instagram user Sinem ( @passiflorashot), a bus stop in Sliema can be seen having been destroyed due to the ongoing storm.
The glass of the bus stop can be seen having been utterly shattered, with the yellow bench torn off and pushed towards the end of the pavement.
People are being urged to stay indoors if possible and avoid areas which might be more susceptible to storm-related dangers, such as heights, balconies and hillsides.
