Budget 2027 Must Prioritise Cost of Living, Wages, & The Environment, ADPD Says

ADPD is insisting that the 2027 Budget must tackle issues that will have tangible improvements on people’s lives, listing cost of living, decent wages, and environmental protection as central priorities.

The party argues that the country’s success should be measured by people’s quality of life, rather than economic growth alone, and that the government needs to shift its priorities from towards social justice and well-being.

ADPD is urging the Government to redirect subsidies towards the people and issues that need it most, such as renewable energy, public transport, and road safety.

On tourism, the party says that Malta must gradually reduce its dependence on foreign income and return revenue from tourist taxation back into the communities most affected.

ADPD concluded by saying that Budget 2027 should prioritise giving the public a fairer society and a healthier environment, rather than focusing on economic growth.
