His journey began in Mosta, from where he ran all the way to Marfa, swam to Comino, crossed the island on foot, then swam onward to Ħondoq ir-Rummien in Gozo. From there, he continued running until he reached his final destination: the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu in Għarb, Gozo.
Brian undertook this challenge to raise awareness for a rare disease affecting his twin children, aiming to inspire others by demonstrating the courage and resilience a person can find when facing physical and emotional pain,.
The event was graced by Dr. Lydia Abela, who honoured those present with her attendance and expressed her support for Brian and his family’s ongoing struggle.
Special thanks were also extended to DJ Pierre Cordina, the driving force behind this meaningful social initiative, and to the group of supporters who accompanied and assisted Brian throughout his record-breaking feat.
