BOV Piggy Bank Campaign Is Back For The 22nd Edition

The 22nd edition of the BOV Piggy Bank Campaign has been launched in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
During a press conference at San Anton Palace, President Myriam Spiteri Debono thanked all educators and students across Malta and Gozo who take part in the annual initiative, which supports those most in need.
She highlighted how the campaign fosters a sense of unity among the Maltese and Gozitan people, bringing communities together through small but meaningful acts of generosity.
The President also expressed appreciation to Bank of Valletta for coordinating the initiative and for the dedication of its volunteer team.
Special thanks were extended to Minister for Education, Sport, Research and Innovation, Clifton Grima, and Opposition Spokesperson for Education, Justin Schembri, for their continued support.
Minister Grima remarked that the campaign helps children develop empathy and compassion, reinforcing the importance of learning values as part of their education.
Opposition Spokesperson Schembri added that such initiatives reflect the strong moral foundations of Maltese society and encouraged schools to continue participating.
Charles Azzopardi, Head of CSR at BOV, said the campaign teaches children that even small contributions can make a real difference. Starting on 14 October 2025, the President will visit over twenty schools across Malta and Gozo to promote the initiative.
