The Birżebbuġa Local Council has highlighted the successful completion of an extensive clean-up operation at St George’s Bay, restoring the popular beach for public use.

Sharing the update on social media, the council thanked all the workers and staff involved in the operation, including those who operated heavy machinery to carry out the large-scale clean-up.

The council praised the dedication and commitment of everyone involved, noting that their efforts helped return the bay to excellent condition.

Following the clean-up, St George’s Bay has officially reopened to the public.

The local council also appealed to residents and visitors to help keep the beach clean, encouraging everyone to take care of the area so it can continue to be enjoyed by all.

Describing the result as "a cleaner bay for everyone," the council emphasised the importance of protecting one of Birżebbuġa's most popular coastal locations.
