Beaches being cleared up for winter period & refurbished for next summer

As the summer season draws to a close, the Tourism Zones Regeneration Agency has commenced its annual winter preparation programme across all managed beaches. This initiative ensures that Malta’s coastal areas remain well-maintained and ready to welcome visitors for the next season.

The Agency, which focuses on enhancing tourism as a key product, confirmed that once all beach assets have been removed, repair and maintenance works will begin to guarantee that everything is in prime condition for the upcoming season. Additionally, the sand at Perched Beach in Buġibba is being collected and carefully covered as part of the winter preparations.

All works are being carried out in close collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority, ensuring national standards are maintained and that Malta’s beaches remain safe, clean, and welcoming for both residents and visitors.
