Valletta turned red as Labour supporters flooded the streets for the 1st May rally, marking the party’s second mass event since the election was called for 30th May by Robert Abela.

This year’s celebration carries added significance, marking 100 years since the party first commemorated Workers’ Day in Malta.

Meanwhile, a large crowd gathered in Ħal Lija for the Nationalist Party’s second mass rally since the election date was announced last Monday.

Both party leaders addressed the crowds, with Robert Abela and Alex Borg each announcing new proposals as the 2026 election campaign continues to pick up steam.
