Authorities Issue Road Safety Warning Amid Severe Weather

Authorities are urging motorists to remain caution while on the roads as heavy rainfall and hail have created unsafe driving conditions.
Last night, thunderstorms and ice took over the Maltese islands, with hail storms forming in the streets of Rabat.
Baħrija and Rabat are reportedly the most severely affected.
Civil Protection Malta, along with the Malta Police Force, Sigurta, and Transport Malta are advising drivers “to slow down, avoid unnecessary travel where possible, and remain alert to changing weather conditions.”
Adverse weather conditions are expected to persist through the weekend and into the coming week, with thunderstorms, strong winds and low temperatures forecast to continue until next Friday.
