‘August Is Not The Time For Juries’, Says Franco Debono

Taking to social media, lawyer Franco Debono said that he has always refused to take part in juries in August, saying that the month is not time for them.
Coming off of the Yorgen Fenech trial, which found him not guilty in relation to the Daphne Caruana Galizia assassination trial, Fenech said that there is nothing essentially against the law but August is not the time for them to take place.
‘I have always believed this and have always made my position clear in court’, he said.
‘A jury can take ten years off your life because of the stress and anxiety involved, for anyone who is involved and takes their work seriously. That is not something that should be done in August.’
