The historic Auberge de Castille in Valletta, Malta, has been lit up in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. The stunning Baroque building, originally constructed in the 1740s under the Portuguese Grand Master Manuel Pinto da Fonseca, sits at the highest point of Valletta and offers views over Floriana and the Grand Harbour.

The auberge, historically known as the Auberge de Castille et Portugal, was built to house knights from the Order of Saint John belonging to the langue of Castile, León, and Portugal. Today, it remains one of Valletta’s most iconic landmarks.

The building was lit up for Mental Health Awareness Month, and the stunning photo was shared on Facebook by @maltagov.
