Ħ’Attard Community Police Offices Renovated: Work Continues On Ħamrun Station

Renovation works at the Community Policing Office in Ħ’Attard have been completed, while extensive refurbishment at the Ħamrun Police Station is now in its final stages.
The Ħamrun station is expected to reopen to the public by the end of May, following a major upgrade project that has been underway since 2024.
The works included the demolition and reconstruction of roofs, the removal and restructuring of partition walls, and the installation of new doors and windows. New drainage, water and electrical systems were also put in place.
Additional improvements include modern ventilation systems, air conditioning, new tiling, soffits, apertures and updated furniture. Works on the building’s façade are still ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Community Policing Office in Ħ’Attard has undergone a full refurbishment, with works starting early last year.
These included new electrical installations, air conditioning systems and updated furnishings. The site has also been equipped with a charging point for electric police vehicles.
The total investment exceeds €740,000, with €660,000 allocated to Ħamrun and €80,000 to Ħ’Attard.
These projects form part of a wider programme of upgrades to police stations in recent years, including in Gżira and Rabat, as well as a new station in Wied il-Għajn.
