ATLAS INSURANCE DONATE FORMER MELITA KITS TO YOUNG FOOTBALLERS IN KENYA

A simple donation in Malta has created a heartwarming connection between young footballers thousands of kilometres apart.
Following Atlas Insurance’s rebrand in 2024, its previous Melita F.C. football kits were no longer needed. Rather than letting them go to waste, Atlas donated the kits through Karibu Malta to support its volunteering work in Kenya.
This year, during another volunteering visit to Kenya, Matthew from TeamAtlas received a wonderful surprise. He was greeted by a group of young footballers proudly wearing the very same Melita F.C. nursery kits that had once been worn in Malta.
Seeing the familiar kits being used by a new generation of players was a powerful reminder of the impact that giving can have. What may have started as surplus sportswear found a new purpose, bringing pride and joy to young players while supporting community work in Kenya.
The story shows that giving back does not always have to involve something new. Sometimes, simply passing on what we no longer need can make a meaningful difference.
From a nursery team in Malta to a football team in Kenya, these kits have found a second life and created a connection that crosses continents.
