ARTS MINISTER OWEN BONNICI CONGRATULATES JASMINE ON MUŻIKA MUŻIKA WIN

Arts Minister Owen Bonnici has congratulated Jasmine Abela following her victory at Mużika Mużika 2026.

In a social media post, Bonnici praised Jasmine, writing “Prosit Jasmine Abela r-rebbieħa ta' Mużika Mużika 2026!” while celebrating her achievement and contribution to Maltese music.

Jasmine secured the win with her song Nistaqsi, becoming the sixth winner of the prestigious competition. Her performance stood out throughout the festival, earning widespread praise and recognition.

The Minister also took the opportunity to thank all singers, authors, composers, and organisers involved in the festival, highlighting their role in promoting and enriching the Maltese language through music.

He concluded by reaffirming the Government’s commitment to culture, stating the importance of continuing to work towards making culture accessible to everyone.

Jasmine’s win has been widely described as well deserved, marking another milestone in Malta’s vibrant cultural scene.
