Around A Dozen Flights Across Europe Receive Bomb Hoax Threats In 2nd Wave Of Incidents

At least a dozen flights across Europe received bomb threats on Thursday, marking the latest in a series of similar incidents affecting airlines in recent days.
The incidents included an Aer Lingus flight travelling from Dublin to Rome, which was diverted while flying over Paris after receiving a security threat.
The Airbus A320 turned around and landed safely at the French military base in Évreux as a precaution. No injuries were reported and no explosives were found.
Four aircraft heading to Prague also received bomb threats, according to Czech authorities. Police assessed the threats as low relevance, while all four aircraft were searched after landing with no suspicious items discovered.
A Wizz Air flight from Milan to Warsaw was diverted to Vienna after the airline received a bomb threat during the flight. The company said passenger and crew safety remained its highest priority.
Several Ryanair flights were also affected, with aircraft from Copenhagen, Madrid and London diverted to Sofia and Plovdiv in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Ministry of Defence said fighter jets were deployed to escort the affected civilian aircraft.
Other airlines impacted included LOT Polish Airlines and Finnair. A LOT flight from Warsaw to Brussels was searched after landing, while two Finnair flights from Helsinki were targeted.
The latest incidents follow several bomb threats against European flights earlier in the week. Authorities have described the threats as malicious hoaxes, while investigations continue into whether the incidents are connected.
