Arnold Cassola Slams Bi-Party System As Sandra Gauci Doe Not Get Seat In Parliament

Momentum leader Arnold Cassola took to social media following the result of last Saturday’s general election, slamming Malta’s bi-party system.

Despite being the 10th most voted for non-elected woman, Sandra Gauci will not be given a seat in parliament as ADPD does not qualify underneath Malta’s current democratic system.

“Sandra is a lesser woman, a lesser human being,” stated Cassola, “Why? Because she does not belong to the privileged class of women with a PLPN divine pedigree.”

“Number 10 Sandra Gauci will thus be kicked out and replaced by woman nr 11 (387 preferences), woman nr. 12 (386) and woman nr. 13 (162),” he explained.

Sandra amassed a total of 513 first count preferences.

“This is what they call democracy in Malta: two parties who make the rules tailor made to suit themselves only,” continued Cassola.

“In reality, the gender corrective mechanism was not about gender equality but only meant to consolidate the duopoly.”
