Armed Forces of Malta Visit Żabbar School to Mark World Civil Defence Day

Members of the Armed Forces of Malta from both the Air Wing and the Maritime Squadron paid a special visit to students at the Primary School in Żabbar yesterday in celebration of World Civil Defence Day.

During the visit, the personnel delivered engaging and informative talks to the children, highlighting the wide range of duties performed by the Armed Forces on a daily basis. Topics covered included rescue operations, maritime security, and aerial support, giving students a closer look at the essential work carried out to safeguard Malta and its citizens.

The initiative provided an opportunity to strengthen the connection between the Armed Forces and the local community, while also inspiring younger generations to take an interest in public service. Through these interactions, students gained insight into the professionalism, dedication, and teamwork required in the military, as well as the importance of civil defence in maintaining national safety.
