Armed Forces Of Malta Carry Out Medical Evacuation At Sea

Yesterday evening, the Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) within the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) was requested to assist in the evacuation of an elderly passenger aboard a passenger ship.
The passenger was reportedly in need of urgent medical care after experiencing serious health complications.
An Armed Forces of Malta rescue vessel was dispatched and successfully transferred the individual to shore. The patient was subsequently handed over to medical professionals at Mater Dei Hospital for continued treatment.
