The Archdiocese of Malta has announced that Archbishop Charles Scicluna will undergo a medical procedure and will require a period of rest and rehabilitation in the coming days.

In a brief statement, the Archdiocese said some of the Archbishop’s scheduled commitments may need to be adjusted while he recovers. No further details about the procedure were provided.

The statement added that Archbishop Scicluna is looking forward to resuming his pastoral ministry as soon as possible and has asked for the prayers and support of the Christian faithful during his recovery.
