Applications For Mużika Mużika 2027 Officially Closed

Applications for the seventh edition of Mużika Mużika, scheduled to take place between 11 and 13 March 2027, closed on Saturday, 26 September.

Organised by Festivals Malta, the festival has become one of the most prominent platforms for Maltese music, bringing together singers, composers and authors each year.

The festival continues to attract strong interest from audiences, as well as from artists and music creators who take part in the annual competition.

Festivals Malta received a significant number of submissions from singers, composers and authors, with entries representing a variety of musical styles and genres.

The Festivals Malta team, together with the Mużika Mużika Board, will now begin the next stage of the selection process. All submitted songs will be reviewed by an expert jury, which will choose the 30 entries that will proceed to the next phase.

These selected songs will then be performed live during a separate session with backing tracks. A new jury, different from the one involved in the first stage, will assess the performances and select the 16 songs that will compete as finalists.

Festivals Malta and the Mużika Mużika Board thanked all artists, composers and authors who submitted their work and wished them success in the competition.

The finalists of Mużika Mużika 2027 will be revealed after the live auditions taking place in October, with an official announcement to follow.
