Another Phase Completed In Triq Bur il-Kbir Road Widening Project

A further phase of the Triq Bur il-Kbir road widening project in Siġġiewi has been completed, as Infrastructure, Planning and Works Minister Jonathan Attard visited the site to inspect ongoing works.

The project, launched earlier this year by Infrastructure Malta, forms part of the government's wider investment in improving road safety, easing traffic congestion and strengthening connectivity across the road network.

During the visit, the minister reviewed excavation works, earthworks, retaining structures and the preparation of land for the widened carriageway. He said the project would provide safer conditions for road users, improve access for nearby residents and businesses, and reduce travel times.

Around 600 square metres of the planned 850-square-metre road widening have already been completed.

Works are being carried out in phases to minimise disruption, although the road will be closed to traffic on Saturday, 20th June, to allow the project to move into its next stage, including works on the opposite side of the carriageway.
