Alliance Real Estate Enters New Chapter With New Leadership
Alliance Real Estate has announced a new leadership structure, with Michael Bonello becoming Chairman and Dr Leon Chetcuti appointed Chief Executive Officer as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
The transition follows six years of expansion under Bonello's leadership as CEO. During that period, Alliance grew from seven offices and around 120 property advisors to a network of 30 offices and nearly 400 advisors, making it one of Malta's largest real estate networks.
As Chairman, Bonello will remain actively involved in the business, focusing on business development, identifying new opportunities and shaping the group's long-term strategy. The new structure will allow him to concentrate on the company's future direction, while Chetcuti and the management team oversee day-to-day operations.
Speaking about the transition, Bonello said Alliance has reached a different stage in its development and that the way the business is led must evolve alongside its growth. He added that he looks forward to continuing to work with Chetcuti and the wider team as the company enters its next chapter.
Chetcuti joins Alliance after serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Development Association. A lawyer specialising in real estate and property law, he brings experience in legal practice, industry representation and executive leadership.
In his new role, Chetcuti will work closely with the Board of Directors, management team, franchise owners and property advisors to support the company's continued growth.
Commenting on his appointment, Chetcuti said Alliance has built a strong business and an extensive network of people, adding that the property industry continues to evolve.
He said the company will focus on investing further in its people and technology, strengthening the organisation and continuing to raise service standards while growing the business responsibly.
Alliance said the leadership transition is intended to support the company's future ambitions while building on the direction that has driven its growth in recent years.
