All Pensioners In Malta To Receive An Extra €520 A Year

Pensioners across Malta and Gozo are set to receive another increase in their pensions as part of Budget 2027.

Prime Minister Robert Abela announced on Sunday that all pensioners will receive an additional €10 per week, equivalent to €520 a year.

The announcement was made during a political activity at the Orpheum Theatre in Gżira, just one day before the Government presents its Budget for the coming year.

The increase is aimed at providing additional financial support to pensioners, particularly as everyday expenses continue to put pressure on household budgets.

For pensioners, the extra €10 a week will amount to approximately €43 more per month on average.

Abela said the upcoming Budget will continue prioritising families, workers and pensioners while maintaining Malta’s economic stability.

The Government has also promised record levels of social investment in 2027.

Further details about the pension increase and other measures affecting older residents are expected to be announced during Monday’s Budget speech.
