Alex Borg welcomes Prime Minister Robert Abela At PN HQ

Alex Borg, Leader of the Opposition and the Nationalist Party (PN), elected as PN leader in September 2025, welcomed Prime Minister Robert Abela at the PN headquarters in Pietà for a courtesy visit, reciprocating Abela’s recent visit to the Labour Party headquarters.

The leaders discussed issues affecting both Malta and Gozo, including transport, the environment, family life quality, and the upcoming budget. Borg said both sides agreed there are areas where Government and Opposition can reach consensus for the country’s benefit.

Borg was joined by PN Vice President Alex Perici Calascione, Secretary General Charles Bonello, General Council President Mark Anthony Sammut, and Executive Committee Chair Joseph Grech. The PN delegation also included Administrative Council members and CEO Sabine Agius Cabourdin.

Four weeks ago, Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed PN’s newly elected leader Alex Borg at Labour Party headquarters following Borg’s narrow victory over former leader Adrian Delia, marking their first official meeting since his appointment.
