The Nationalist Party has proposed new entertainment venues and a €2 million investment scheme for youth centres in Gozo as part of its electoral manifesto for the island.

One of the proposals includes incentives for regulated entertainment venues to open in already designated recreational and tourist areas. PN says the aim is to give Gozitan students and young people more places to socialise and spend time on the island, while also diversifying Gozo’s tourism offering.

The manifesto also promises a €2 million financial aid scheme for Gozitan NGOs to continue investing in youth centres and create modern attractions for teenagers and young adults. PN says these spaces would offer entertainment, relaxation, learning opportunities, and welcoming environments for young people.

The proposals form part of a wider package of plans for Gozo, including:

* More cultural and artistic spaces

* New art galleries and public art programmes

* A dedicated area with warehouses for Gozo Carnival participants

* A €9 million fund for theatres and cultural centres

* A modern glamping site in Gozo

* More pedestrian village squares

* New recreational and family spaces

Other major proposals include a new 400-bed hospital in Gozo, expanded fast ferry services, two new Gozo Channel vessels, grants for Gozitan students studying in Malta, and plans to make Gozo a “Net-Zero Island” by 2040.

PN says the overall aim is to make Gozo more attractive for young people, families, businesses, and tourists while preserving the island’s unique identity and quality of life.
