Alex Borg Reveals That PN Accounts Will Be Published On Monday

PN leader Alex Borg has confirmed that the Nationalist Party will publish its financial accounts on Monday, marking his 100th day as party leader.
Speaking on NET Television on Sunday, Borg said the public will be able to view the party’s financial statements covering the years in which they were not published. The PN’s last released accounts date back to 2020, and the party has faced sustained criticism, including from the Labour Party, over its failure to publish them in line with party financing rules. Borg said the move demonstrates that the PN can be transparent even while in Opposition.
The publication of the accounts will take place during a party activity on Monday evening, which will also serve to commemorate Borg’s first 100 days at the helm.
During the event, the PN is expected to outline the pledges Borg made during his leadership campaign and the progress achieved so far.
Reflecting on recent opinion polls, Borg said surveys indicate that the PN has narrowed the gap with the governing Labour Party, though he cautioned that the party remains the underdog without the advantage of incumbency.
He attributed recent momentum to sustained engagement with people across Malta and Gozo.
Borg reiterated his call for continued public donations, saying fundraising remains essential for the party to maintain its operations and outreach, noting that the most recent marathon raised around half a million euros.
