Alex Borg States Early Election Was Called Because The Nationalist Party Is Gaining Strength

Opposition leader Alex Borg joined supporters in Ħal Għargħur as part of his campaigning for the upcoming general election under the Nifs Ġdid slogan.
Alex Borg accused the current government of using government resources to strengthen the Labour Party through advertisements on public service social media pages.
He explained that the reason the Labour Party called an early election is not because of the current global unrest, but rather because the Nationalist party is gaining strength and that it thought it would find a weak PN. However, Borg said, the Nationalist Party is living up to the challenge and is ready to win the election.
He also hinted at more proposals being announced in the coming days, with interventions from PN candidates also reinforcing the message of 'Nifs Ġdid.' Beppe Fenech Adami paid tribute to the late Karl Gouder during his speech, with the audience paying their respects with applause in his honour.
