ALEX BORG SAYS PN IS READY TO LEAD MALTA FORWARD AT MOSTA MASS MEETING

Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg said that with each passing day, the Partit Nazzjonalista is proving that it is ready to lead Malta forward, during a mass meeting held in Mosta as part of the Qrib Tagħkom initiative.
Addressing supporters, Borg referred to recent developments surrounding the appointment of the Chief Justice, stating that Prime Minister Robert Abela has now been forced to adopt the position the PN had insisted on from the start, that of consultation.
He criticised the Prime Minister’s handling of the issue, accusing him of politicising a sensitive appointment and misleading Parliament, stressing that the PN’s stance was taken in defence of institutions and the judiciary.
Borg also highlighted the national discussion sparked by the PN’s proposal for a four-day working week, welcoming debate while underlining the need for a labour market study tailored specifically to Malta. He pointed to the latest IMF report as confirmation that Malta’s economic and population realities require urgent planning.
The PN leader dismissed claims that a future Nationalist government would reverse recent tax cuts, pledging instead to build on positive measures while introducing reforms that prioritise quality of life, work-life balance and long-term sustainability.
Borg concluded by reiterating that a PN-led government would focus on substance over spin and leave no one behind.
