Alex Borg Pledges A "Better Gozo" for Workers in Workers’ Day Address

Alex Borg has pledged a better Gozo for workers and for Gozitans as he addressed a Workers’ Day political activity organised by the Nationalist Party in Għajnsielem, Gozo.

Speaking at the Grand Hotel Gozo, Borg described his party as a vehicle for Gozo to move forward, outlining a vision focused on improving quality of life and expanding opportunities across the island.

Drawing on his experience as a Gozitan, he said he understands the daily challenges faced by residents but believes the island holds significant untapped potential.

Borg emphasised the need for modernisation, stronger infrastructure and better connectivity, which he said should become a national priority.

He also called for the creation of quality jobs and an environment where workers, entrepreneurs, young people and the elderly can thrive without obstacles.

While acknowledging progress made in recent years, he argued that several challenges remain and can be transformed into opportunities under a future Nationalist government.

The event also featured addresses by Shadow Minister for Gozo Chris Said and PN candidates, alongside a discussion on key issues including health, housing, tourism and inclusion.
