In a touching social media post, Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg paid tribute to his late father, Tony.
Tony passed away after a battle with cancer in 2018, and was well known for his co mutinous service to the Gozitan community.
‘In seven years since you’ve left us, a lot has happened Dad’, wrote Alex. ‘I learned a lot. What I am sure of is that your advice was crucial and played out accurately.’
‘The memories remain. Ix-Xlendi. The trips. The gym and how it helped you. A take away with the family on the beach. But the memory that remains most strongly is the gratitude of people.’
‘Thank you for your service to the nation. To the people. Nobody taught me the politics of people but you.’
