Alex Borg Officially Returns To Parliament As PN Leader

Alex Borg has officially returned to parliament as the new leader of the Nationalist Party, giving his first address as the Opposition’s leader.
In his first speech, Borg took aim at a damning report from the Auditor General which, he said, ‘confirms another act of theft by the government from public funds.’
‘Land belonging to the people, estimated at around €21 million, was sold off for only €8 million. Another valuation, carried out by a private auditing firm and kept concealed by the Government, put the land’s worth at nearly €24 million. This all means that the Maltese people lost €16 million from public funds.’
Earlier that day, Borg was welcomed by Speaker Anġlu Farrugia, who welcomed him in his new role.
