Alex Borg Files Sworn Affidavit Of Never Meeting Contrabandist

Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg has filed a sworn affidavit that he never met any contrabandist or person involved in illegal activity following allegations made by Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Prime Minister Robert Abela has questioned who is behind the Nationalist Party’s proposal to develop an offshore fuel hub in the Mediterranean.

Speaking to the media during a press conference, Abela asked whether there was a “hidden investor” backing the proposal, which PN leader Alex Borg previously described as “a petrol station in the middle of the Mediterranean”.

‘I declare that I never met any contrabandist or person involved in illegal activities in regard to this investment’, said Borg. ‘I categorically reject the allegations made by the Prime Minister as false, unfounded and constructed to damage my reputation and the country.’
