During a political activity held in Żurrieq, Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg outlined the party’s vision for the country, stressing that the upcoming general election is not a contest between two individuals, but between two different directions for Malta.

Borg said the Nationalist Party is presenting “stronger and clearer proposals” across key sectors, including health, Gozo, energy, and quality of life. He described the PN’s approach as one aimed at giving the country “a new breath of life,” in contrast to what he called a Labour Party focused on holding on to power.

He also criticised Prime Minister Robert Abela, referring to what he described as a “no show” at an EU-level meeting where international issues were to be discussed. Borg argued that the Prime Minister had previously used these same international concerns as justification for calling an early election. He also referred to Abela’s decision to withdraw from a scheduled debate on the PBS programme Xtra, stating that he himself remains ready to debate “anytime and anywhere.”

The event also featured contributions from Nationalist Party candidates Mark Anthony Sammut and Jonathan Muscat, alongside Engineer Malcolm Zammit, who spoke about the PN’s newly presented proposals in the energy sector.

The Nationalist Party reiterated its commitment to presenting practical solutions aimed at strengthening Malta’s economy and improving the daily lives of citizens.
