Alex Borg Congratulates Adrian Delia After False Accusations Cleared

Taking to social media, Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg congratulated former PN Leader and former candidate for the same role Adrian Delia after accusations of money laundering were proven to be false.
Yesterday, October 25th, Delia recounted how he had been corresponding with police to investigate the reports that the FIAU had reported him to the police accusing him of money laundering charges.
This was in connection with work he had done as a lawyer regarding selling and renting of property in London over two and a half decades ago.
The police sent him the letter clearing him of the charges after Delia had sent a number of appeals to investigate the accusations so he could defend his reputation.
In a statement, Borg said that that the accusations against Delia were nothing but a false exercise.
‘I rest assured that with Adrian on the team and in the role I trusted him with, he will continue to work not for his own self interest but for love of his country’, wrote Alex.
In a statement on the same, former Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo said that, while he and Adrian disagree politically, he has to agree with his plea to stop targeting people with false accusations.’
‘We cannot continue, in this country, to tarnish the reputation of people, hurt and destroy families only for justice to come a few years later’, he said.
‘I am happy for him and his family. The truth always emerges.’
