Alex Borg Announces 24/7 Animal Hospital Plan During Sunday Family Event

Opposition Leader Alex Borg announced plans to reopen a 24/7 animal hospital during a Sunday afternoon activity aimed at bringing families together during the election campaign.

The event, organised by Sarah, focused on creating a relaxed countryside setting for families, offering a break from the pace of the campaign.

Addressing those present, Borg said the proposal forms part of a wider set of measures for animal welfare that he intends to unveil.

He confirmed that a PN government would reopen an animal hospital operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Borg said the closure of such services in the past had made it more difficult for pet owners to access timely care, particularly in emergencies.

The proposal is one of several animal welfare measures expected to be announced as part of the party’s campaign.
