PN Leader Alex Borg addressed a large crowd of supporters in Gozo during a mass meeting held as part of the Nationalist Party’s electoral campaign, delivering a message centred on unity, renewal, and a forward-looking vision for the country.

Borg said the PN had focused its campaign on positivity and on building a “politics of one country”, rather than dividing Malta into “blue and red” camps. He stressed that the party’s priority is the future of the nation, and that a PN government would seek to govern inclusively, engaging with all citizens regardless of political background or past allegiances.

He added that if given the mandate to govern, the party would not act in a vindictive manner or create a culture where people feel afraid to express criticism. According to Borg, Nationalists, Labour supporters, and even those who have lost faith in Malta’s political institutions should still feel able to work constructively with the party.

Speaking directly to Gozitans, Borg acknowledged the island’s close-knit community and said he understands that some people may feel hesitant to speak openly. He reassured them that they should not be afraid, promising that a PN government would prioritise Gozo’s identity, progress, and common good.

He pledged stronger opportunities for young people and businesses to remain and grow on the island, while also addressing healthcare concerns by promising a new hospital for Gozo. Borg said Gozo would be central to the PN’s national plan.

He concluded his message by saying his word is a commitment to the Maltese and Gozitan people, adding that while Malta may “shout for change”, Gozo will “scream for it”.
